Abhinav Munshi

Principal

Abhinav Munshi has over seven years of experience in private equity in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region in sectors such as aviation, education, oil and gas, equipment rental and real estate.

Mr. Munshi has worked on some of the landmark private equity transactions in the region, including the privatization of JorAMCo, Abraaj Capital's US$ 500 million investment in EFG-Hermes, the largest regional investment bank, the buyout of GMMOS Group (SMG) and the acquisition of GEMS Education, the region's largest and leading education group. Mr. Munshi also worked on the development and launch of ASAS, Abraaj Capital's real estate fund and closed its inaugural investment. He is currently a senior member of Abraaj Capital Advisors Private Limited providing non binding investment advisory services to Abraaj Capital.

Mr. Munshi graduated from Stanford University with a Masters degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. He holds a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering and Economics, awarded with Highest Honors, from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Tarun Mehta

Principal

Tarun Mehta has 10 years of experience in Private Equity and Investment Banking. During the past eight years at Abraaj Capital, he has been involved in originating, executing and portfolio managing several investments. In addition Mr. Mehta's other responsibilities include identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with a global investor base. Mr. Mehta is a senior member of Abraaj Capital Advisors Private Limited providing non binding investment advisory services to Abraaj Capital.

Prior to joining Abraaj Capital, Mr. Mehta was an analyst in the Global Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Merrill Lynch Investment Banking in New York. He was primarily involved in various aspects of transactions including pitching, financial modeling, valuation, structuring and conducting due diligence as part of the M&A Group. Mr. Mehta started his career at Goldman Sachs, where he was a member of the Institutional Sales Team covering US equities.

Mr. Mehta holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia. He majored in Accounting and Finance and minored in Economics.
