The Corporate Business Development Group at Abraaj Capital is the primary interface between the Firm and its investors and is responsible for creating and maintaining corporate-wide business development opportunities across multiple geographies.

Over the past decade, Abraaj Capital has built deep and long-term relationships with its investors who represent leading institutions and family offices from the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, United States and Asia.

Represented on the Firm’s Executive and Investment Committees, the Corporate Business Development Group whose members are strategically located across the Firm’s offices, works in partnership with Abraaj Capital’s deal teams to maintain up-to-date and in-depth knowledge on partner companies. Through this close interaction with the investment and portfolio management teams, quality information is shared on a regular basis with investors, thereby enabling enhanced decision making around Fund investments.

In addition, and operating to the highest standards of transparency and governance, the Corporate Business Development Group provides detailed financial metrics on the Funds’ underlying partner companies to investors in accordance with a structured reporting framework and timeline.

The Corporate Business Development Group plays a key role in the origination of investment opportunities for the Firm and actively participates in the investment strategies of the Funds, including in relation to the development of new products and expansion into target geographies.
