RED, our independent US$ 650 million SME investment platform, was established in 2009 to capitalize on investment opportunities in the SME segment. Our analysis shows that this gap is due to businesses suffering from a severe lack of capital and, more specifically, a lack of institutional capital that provides entrepreneurs the strategic and operational support they need to take their business to the next level. As well as addressing financial needs, RED seeks to ensure that SMEs focus on implementing sophisticated business practices, such as corporate governance and strategic planning processes. RED also provides its partner companies with technology enhanced business intelligence through a cloud-based financial analysis and reporting tool. At an operational level, RED will intervene to meet the company’s needs on a case by case basis.
