Before joining Abraaj, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali ("Zulfi") spent just over a year with SEDCO's Direct Investment Group based in Dubai, where he completed and originated a number of transactions in IT, healthcare and manufacturing. Prior to that he spent 12 years with Citibank/Citigroup as a transactor and later Risk Manager/Senior Credit Officer with the Project Finance/Infrastructure and Energy Finance team based in London.

Mr. Ali holds a BA Honours from Vassar College and an MSc. Economics degree from the London School of Economics.
