Mr. Andrew Chvatal is responsible for overseeing the evaluation, structuring, negotiation and execution of buyout transactions and other investment opportunities.  Prior to joining Abraaj, Mr. Chvatal was a senior associate in the New York office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, a leading international law firm, where he was a member of the mergers and acquisitions group.  While at Simpson Thacher, Mr. Chvatal specialized in the representation of private equity firms in leveraged acquisitions of public and private companies across a variety of industries and geographic regions.  Mr. Chvatal began his career with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York, where he was involved in a broad range of M&A and corporate finance transactions.

Mr. Chvatal holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Boston University and a J.D. from Georgetown University, where he was Managing Editor of the journal Law and Policy in International Business.
