Medical Officer of Health – Embakasi, Nairobi County 

Dr. Moses Owino, MBChB, is a medical doctor working with the Kenya Government in Nairobi County. He currently serves as the Medical Officer of Health in Embakasi Subcounty in the Eastern part of Nairobi, Kenya. He holds an MBChB. He has cumulative work experience of 9 years, spanning clinical care and health systems management in both rural and urban areas in Kenya, in areas with high burden of non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health issues as well as HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria. He has extensive experience in health systems strengthening and program management. As the Subcounty MOH, he is responsible for managing and collaborating with various funding, research and implementing organizations in policy formulation and service delivery. He is currently pursuing his MSc in Medical Epidemiology and is engaged in research on health systems strengthening with a focus on maternal and child health. He seeks to promote use of evidence-based systems and technology innovations to impact on health
