Head of Mission, Office of the Quartet
Kito de Boer joined the Office of the Quartet in January 2015 from McKinsey & Company, where he was a Director (senior Partner), based in Dubai.
As a Head of Mission, Kito leads on the Office’s strategy on Palestinian economic and institutional empowerment, including matters concerning rule of law, economic development, and movement and access.
Over the last two decades at McKinsey, Kito has served senior leaders across Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and South Asia, helping them translates bold aspirations into reality in areas such as labor-market reform, economic development, education and healthcare.
Kito joined McKinsey in London in 1985 and transferred to India in 1993, where he led the New Delhi office. He has lived in Dubai since 1999, where he led the creation of McKinsey’s Middle East Office.
In 2009, Kito became the leader of McKinsey’s Public and Social Sector practice in EMEA, where he was responsible for McKinsey’s work for governments and non-profits in the region. From 2012, Kito also co-led the McKinsey Center for Government, a global hub for research and innovation in government performance.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Kito worked for Shell in the Netherlands, Burroughs Computers in California and Detroit and Electrolux in South East Asia based in Singapore.
Kito is a Dutch national, born in Venezuela and educated in the UK. Kito has a BSc in Management Sciences from Loughborough University and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
